Ajmer is like an oasis in the otherwise
barren land of Rajasthan. The city was
founded by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan in the 7th Century A.D.
Today, Ajmer is reputed as major center
for culture and education for both the Hindus and Muslims.
It is also the base for visiting Pushkar-
the abode of Lord Brahma. |
