Arrive Chennai and transfer to hotel. Overnight
at hotel.
Day 02 : Chennai
Morning city tour of Chennai - visit the Fort
St. George, Still surrounded by cannon-proof
walls. Within the fort, visit St. Thomas Mount,
San Thome Cathedral, Kapaleeswar Temple and
the National Art Gallery. Overnight in Chennai.
Day 03 : Chennai-Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram
Drive Chennai to Kanchipuram - Golden City of
a Thousand Temples. Visit the local homes of
the weavers and watch them create magic out
of silk thread into saris. Afternoon drive to
Mahabalipuram and check in hotel. Overnight
stay in Mahabalipuram.
Day 04 : Mahabalipuram
- Pondicherry
Morning visit the seven pagoda-style Shore temples,
lashed by the waves of the sea and the seven
rathas or temple chariots, a group of monolithic
monuments & animal figures carved out of
solid rock.
Afternoon drive to Pondicherry, which is 132
kms. & approx 04 hrs. drive. Transfer to
hotel. Overnight in Pondicherry.
Day 05 : Pondicherry
Sightseeing tour of Pondicherry which includes
visit to the Vardaraja Perumal Temple, Vedapureeswarar
Temple & Manakula Vinayagar Temple. Overnight
at hotel.
Day 06 : Pondicherry
- Thanjavur
Morning depart Pondicherry by surface for Thanjavur
stopping by en route to visit Chidambaram Temple.
Arrive Thanjavur and check in at hotel.
Day 07 : Thanjavur
- Thiruchirapalli
Morning sightseeing tour of Thanjavur which
includes visit to the famous Thanjavur temples,
the Brahadeeswarar Temple. Afternoon drive to
Thiruchirapalli, which is 55 kms & approx
1½ hrs. drive stopping by en route to
visit Srirangam. Transfer to hotel. Overnight
in Tiruchirapalli.
Day 08 : Thiruchirapalli
- Madurai
Sightseeing tour of Thiruchirapalli visit Rockfort
and temples. Afternoon drive to Madurai, which
is 142 kms & 05 hrs. drive. Transfer to
hotel. Overnight in Madurai.
Day 09 : Madurai
Sightseeing tour of Madurai visiting the Meenakshi
Sundareswara Temple, Tirumalai Nayak Palace
& the Vandiyur Mariamman Tank. Afternoon
at leisure. Evening visit Meenakshi Temple once
again to witness evening ceremony when lord
Shiva is carried to Meenashi's chamber for the
night. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 : Madurai
- Periyar
Morning depart Madurai by road for Periyar (149
km approx.). Arrive Periyar and check in at
hotel. Afternoon boat ride in lake Periyar to
observe wildlife in Periyar National Park. Overnight
at hotel.
Day 10 : Periyar
- Kumarakom
Morning game viewing in the Periyar National
Park. Later, drive Periyar - Kumarakom (114
km approx.). Arrive Kumarakom jetty for an overnight
backwater cruise on the backwaters of Kerala.

life in rural Kerala. Overnight onboard the
houseboat.
Day 11 : Alleppey
- Cochin
End backwater cruise at Alleppey and drive to
Cochin (67 km approx.). Arrive Cochin and transfer
to hotel. Overnight at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing
tour of Fort Cochin visit the Dutch Palace,
St. Francis Cathedral, Chinese fishing net.
Jewish Synagogue and walk around the spice market.
Evening witness to Kathakali dance performance.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 : Cochin
/ Bangalore
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Bangalore.
Arrive Bangalore, meet and transfer to hotel.
Afternoon visit some of the important sites
in Bangalore - Bidhansauda the assembly building,
Lalbagh etc. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 : Bangalore
- Mysore
Morning depart Bangalore for Mysore (139 km
approx.) by road stopping by en route at Srirangapatnam
to visit summer capital of Tipu Sultan. Arrive
Mysore and check in at hotel. Afternoon visit
Chamudni Hills to witness huge Nandi Bull chiseled
out of a single rock hewn and visit the Mysore
Palace one of the most impressive palaces in
south India. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 : Mysore
/ Chennai / Depart Chennai
Morning take a short drive to visit Somnathpur
temple one of the finest example of Hoysala
temples architecture in South India. Afternoon
depart Mysore for by train for Chennai. Arrive
Chennai and transfer to international airport
to board the flight for onward destination.
